Some of you may be wondering, if you don’t already know, what happened to Courtney?

Courtney left her boyfriend’s house at approximately 8:20pm on Friday, April 24, 2020, presumably heading to her sister’s house to spend time with her and her new baby nephew. We don’t know this for certain, as she was never one to call before just showing up somewhere, and she didn’t mention where she was going, when she left her boyfriend’s house. So noone wondered where she was when she didn’t show up, because noone was expecting her.

Tragically, Courtney was killed in a single-car accident at around 8:43pm. The police investigation showed evidence that she fell asleep at the wheel right before crossing an overpass bridge on a tollway, and drove off the side of the bridge at the highest point before the right side guardrail. Her car, a 2010 Toyota Corolla S, landed upside down in the center median of the road below and came to rest against the far wall of the bridge. The investigation showed that she was instantly killed on impact.

Due to it being so dark and unpopulated at that location, her car wasn’t discovered until after 7:00am the next morning. A passerby called in the accident when they saw the car.

State troopers came to my house at 8:25am on Saturday morning to tell me that my babygirl was gone.
